Acrobatic Arts is a dance acrobatics curriculum created specifically for dancers. It teaches acrobatic skills that complement dance training, such as cartwheels, handstands, walkovers, aerials, balances, and tumbling skills, while focusing on the proper technique needed to perform those skills safely.
Unlike a general gymnastics program, Acrobatic Arts is designed with dancers in mind. The program focuses on developing the five key areas needed for acro success:
Flexibility
Strength
Balancing
Limbering
Tumbling
Dancers progress through levels with structured skill development, learning the correct body alignment, conditioning, and progressions needed to safely advance. Acro training helps dancers improve their control, coordination, confidence, and overall performance ability across many dance styles.
In simple terms: Acrobatic Arts teaches dancers how to safely incorporate acrobatic skills into their dance training while building the strength and technique needed to succeed through progressions
